HA NOI (VNS) — Fifteen bands from Thailand, South Korea, Hong Kong and Viet Nam, will perform at a music festival in Ha Noi tomorrow.

The bands include Thailand's Born From Pain and Extazy Site; Korea's End These Days; and Hong Kong's King Ly Chee.

The outdoor festival will be held at Creative City, No 1 Luong Yen Street, bringing metal and hardcore music to rock fans.

Hong Kong's King Ly Chee band was founded in 1999 by King Ly Chee.

Through their sheer determination and passion for hardcore music over 17 years, the band members have taken their sounds, energy and hearts to regional Asian countries and also Europe, helping to establish King Ly Chee as a truly Asian band.

Established in 1998, the five members of Thailand's Born From Pain studied together at an art school. Their first recording was in the form of a cassette tape recording by an underground label.

The band has performed at rock metal festivals in Bangkok and across Southeast Asia.

Underground Vietnamese bands such as Ha Noi's Windrunner and Bloodshed; Hue's Brainwash and HCM City's In Your Eyes, Knife – Sticking Head and The Official Clockwork will also perform at the festival.

The music festival will take place from noon to 9pm. Visitors can indulge in cultural activities such as skateboarding, drawing graffiti, fashion and tattoos throughout the day. — VNS
