HA NOI (VNS) — Ba Na Hills Resort in the central city of Da Nang held a ceremony welcoming its 1 millionth visitor of 2015 on July 27, the resort's owner, SUN Group, announced.
The group said it had welcomed its 1 millionth visitor to the resort for the year 2014 in November. Thus, this year's welcoming ceremony being held in July indicates a remarkable growth in the number of tourists to the resort, in particular, and to Da Nang City, in general.
To welcome the guest, Nguyen Van Tuat from HCM City, the resort has organized a carnival with vibrant dances, popular music and iconic fairytale characters, and the streets will be colourfully decorated.
Tuat will receive a gift voucher worth VND10 million ($457), which can be used to enjoy any of the services provided by the Ba Na Hills Resort. He will also receive a card granting free use of the cable car for one year.
Tuat said this was his second visit to the resort, adding that he had also brought his siblings' families from the United States with him.
