Panpipe competition attracts a number of tourists

On February 16, the final contest of the biggest panpipe dancing event in the northwest took place at Sun World Fansipan Legend, bringing visitors memorable experiences in the journey of spring festival at the Fansipan summit.

On February 16, the final contest of the biggest panpipe dancing event in the northwest took place at Sun World Fansipan Legend, bringing visitors memorable experiences in the journey of spring festival at the Fansipan summit.

Taking place from February 7, the panpipe dancing competition drew the participation of six excellent teams with 60 talented people from different communes in Sa Pa District and other surrounding areas such as Hà Giang, Lai Châu, Điện Biên, Sơn La and Yên Bái.

The contest was organised by Sun World Fansipan Legend in collaboration with Department of Culture and Information of Sa Pa.

After many rounds, on February 16, the teams competed in the final, bringing cultural performances of the northwest region to the local people and visitors.

With the excellent and graceful dances of the Nào Pê Chầu section, the Điện Biên team won the first prize. Meanwhile, the flower panpipe dance Nhịp điệu khèn ô helped Hà Giang win second prize and third prizes were awarded to Lai Châu, Sa Pa and Trung Chải.

The competition also awarded first prize, second prize and three third prizes for outstanding individuals in single performances.

In addition, there were prizes for the oldest and the youngest contestant, Vì A Giáo, 79 years old from Điện Biên and Thảo Đức Minh, 12 years old from Hà Giang.

Within the framework of the Flower Panpipe Festival and Spring Festival opening heaven gate, the panpipe dancing competition was held for the third time in Fansipan.

This is not only a tourism activity, giving visitors a new experience in Lào Cai, but also an effort of Sun World Fansipan Legend tourism in preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values of the northwest, contributing to creating an attractive Lào Cai in the eyes of domestic and international tourists.
