Ha Noi – A man allegedly responsible for firing a sawed-off shot-gun and injuring two men in Ha Noi's Phu Xuyen District was detained yesterday.
Vu Van Ba, the 45 year-old alleged ringleader of an ambush, was the only criminal suspect to be caught after his suspected accomplices, including Vu Van Huynh, Nguyen Tien Quyet, Ba's son and son-in-law, fled. Ten other suspects still remain at large.
The victims reported the attack to the police who then aprehended the suspect.
The two men injured in the incident were fired upon during a business trip to the district. Their car was severely damaged in the onslaught, said the Criminal Police Department.
Provincial police are now co-operating with other investigative bodies to locate and arrest the remaining suspects. – VNS
