HA NOI (VNS) — Eleven bills and a resolution on the 2016 law and ordinance building programme will be reviewed at the ninth session of the 13th National Assembly (NA) that opens today in Ha Noi.
"The 31-day session will focus on making laws relating to the country's development process," said the NA's Office Chairman Nguyen Hanh Phuc at a press conference yesterday.
They are: the amended law on the organisation of the Government; the law on the organisation of local Government, the amended law on the organisation of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front; the amended law on the election of deputies to the National Assembly and People's Council.
The NA will also discuss laws on the State budget, State audit, promulgation of legal documents, military service, marine and island environment and resources, veterinary medicine and labour safety and hygiene.
NA deputies will review a report on the implementation of the 2014 socio-economic development plan and the implementation of socio-economic development plans in the first months of 2015.
During the session, deputies will also debate four other important resolutions, especially a resolution on next year's NA programme and a resolution to invest in Long Thanh International Airport in HCM City.
The National Assembly will examine 15 other bills, including the civil code, criminal code; civil procedure code, criminal procedure code; administrative procedure code, law on criminal investigation agency, law on custody and temporary detention, law on oversight of the NA and the People's Council, law on amending the accounting law, law on statistics, law on information safety, law on charges and fees, law amending and supplementing some provisions of maritime code, law on referendum, and law on hydro-metereology.
The session shall be broadcast live on VTV1, NA TV Channel and VOV1 channel of the Voice of Viet Nam. — VNS
