HA NOI (VNS) — President Truong Tan Sang will visit Laos at the invitation of General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and State President Chummaly Sayasone.
The visit is due to take place from March 23 - 25.
Earlier yesterday, he welcomed new ambassadors from Guinea, Luxembourg and Portugal. They all offered support to nurture bilateral ties during their tenure.
Meeting the Guinean Ambassador, Ibrahima Sory Sow, the President said the two countries should boost economic-trade activity to match their fine political relationship.
At a reception for the Luxembourg Ambassador, Robert Lauer, the State leader proposed creating visits at all levels to strengthen multifaceted engagements.
When meeting Portuguese Ambassador Luis Manuel Barreira de Sousa, Sang hoped for further Portuguese support for the EU Partnership and Co-operation Agreement and the Viet Nam – EU Free Trade Agreement. — VNS
