NA announces votes of confidence results

HA NOI (VNS) -- All 50 officials holding positions elected or approved by the National Assembly (NA) passed the vote of confidence during the 13th legislature's eighth session in Hanoi on November 15.

The confidence vote was specified in three degrees - high confidence, confidence, and low confidence. The results were announced on the same day as follows:

1. Truong Tan Sang, President: 380 high confidence votes (accounting for 76.46 percent of total NA deputies); 84 confidence votes (16.9 percent); 20 low confidence votes (4.02 percent).

2. Nguyen Thi Doan, Vice President: 302 (60.76 percent); 168 (33.8 percent); 15 (3.02 percent).

3. Nguyen Sinh Hung, NA Chairman: 340 (68.41 percent); 93 (18.71 percent); 52 (10.46 percent).

4. Uong Chu Luu, Vice NA Chairman: 344 (69.22 percent); 124 (24.95 percent); 14 (2.82 percent).

5. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Vice NA Chairwoman: 390 (78.47 percent); 86 (17.3 percent); 9 (1.81 percent).

6. Tong Thi Phong, Vice NA Chairwoman: 325 (65.39 percent); 127 (25.55 percent); 31 (6.24 percent).

7. Huynh Ngoc Son, Vice NA Chairman: 295 (59.36 percent); 159 (31.99 percent); 28 (5.63 percent).

8. Phan Xuan Dung, Member of the NA Standing Committee, Chairman of NA Committee for Science, Technology and Environment: 212 (42.66 percent); 248 (49.9 percent); 23 (4.63 percent).

9. Nguyen Van Giau, Member of the NA Standing Committee, Chairman of the NA Committee for Economics: 317 (63.78 percent); 155 (31.19 percent); 12 (2.41 percent).

10. Tran Van Hang, Member of the NA Standing Committee, Chairman of the NA Committee of External Relations: 284 (57.14 percent); 183 (36.82 percent); 13 (2.62 percent).

11. Phung Quoc Hien, Member of the NA Standing Committee, Chairman of the NA Committee for Finance and Budget: 315 (63.38 percent); 148 (29.78 percent), 20 (4.02 percent).

12. Nguyen Van Hien, Member of the NA Standing Committee, Chairman of the NA Committee for Justice: 203 (40.85 percent); 245 (49.3 percent); 36 (7.24 percent).

13. Nguyen Duc Hien, Member of the NA Standing Committee, Head of the Ombudsman Committee: 225 (45.27 percent); 228 (45.88 percent); 30 (6.04 percent).

14. Nguyen Kim Khoa, Member of the NA Standing Committee, Chairman of the NA Committee of Defence and Security: 290 (58.35 percent); 174 (35.01 percent); 19 (3.82 percent).

15. Phan Trung Ly, Member of the NA Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the NA Legal Committee: 311 (62.58 percent); 145 (29.18 percent); 27 (5.43 percent).

16. Truong Thi Mai, Member of the NA Standing Committee, Chairman of the NA Committee on Social Affairs: 365 (73.44 percent); 104 (20.93 percent); 13 (2.62 percent).

17. Nguyen Thi Nuong, Member of the NA Standing Committee, Head of the NA Committee for Deputy Affairs: 272 (54.73 percent); 183 (36.82 percent); 28 (5.63 percent).

49. Nguyen Hoa Binh, Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuracy: 207 (41.65 percent); 235 (47.28 percent); 43 (8.65 percent).

50. Nguyen Huu Van, Auditor General of the Auditing State of Vietnam : 105 (21.13 percent); 318 (63.98 percent); 62 (12.47 percent).

The NA adopted a resolution verifying the results of the confidence vote with the approval of all 451 deputies present at the session. -- VNA/VNS
