HA NOI (VNS)— Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung urged ministries, ministerial-level agencies and localities to improve human resources training for Laos, saying the gesture would help foster the traditional solidarity, special friendship and comprehensive co-operation between the countries.
In a directive issued on Wednesday, the PM requested that the Ministry of Education and Training work with the Lao Ministry of Education and Sports to improve the selection process for Lao students hoping to study in Viet Nam.
He also instructed the ministry to create a roadmap on the teaching of Vietnamese as a foreign language in the Lao education system and compile textbooks for teaching Vietnamese to Lao students in Viet Nam.
Additionally, the Prime Minister assigned the ministry to work with the Ministry of Planning and Investment to develop resource allocation plans for co-operating with Laos on education and training. — VNS
