HCM CITY (VNS) — Ho Chi Minh City is striving to attract infrastructure investments, particularly in urban transport and the environmental sector, Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Le Hoang Quan told the visiting Finnish Minister of Economic Affairs Jan Vapaavuori on October 21.

Quan introduced Ho Chi Minh City as a thriving metropolis with a great potential for cooperation with Finland, especially in the fields of smart technology, clean water, transport, environmental hygiene, education and training.

He also vowed to support Finnish investors working in the city as much as possible.

Vapaavuori was pleased to announce that Viet Nam and Finland are continuously moving towards a mutually beneficial form of collaboration, with a focus on trade and investment.

With regard to the challenges that limit urbanisation processes, the guest assured Quan that Finland and its business community were willing to share their experience in building smart urban areas and in other areas of strength with Viet Nam.—VNA/VNS
