HA NOI (VNS) — Viet Nam will impart its experiences in economic development to Laos, one of its neighbour countries, to enable both to grow together.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung made this affirmation here yesterday when he received Lao Deputy Prime Minister Bunpon Buttanavong, who is on a working visit to Viet Nam.

The Prime Minister told his guest that Viet Nam's 30-year renovation process would be reviewed to outline the proper orientation needed for Viet Nam to become an industrial country in the short run.

He suggested that both countries speed up across-the-board co-operation and prepare for future partnership.

The Lao Deputy Prime Minister thanked the Vietnamese Party, State and people for the assistance and co-operation his country had received from them. And said his experiences during his visit would aid Lao authorities in its attempts at economic development planning and implementation.

The Lao leader also visited the northern Bac Ninh province, where he attended a working session with local authorities on their development-related lessons and toured the Viet Nam-Singapore Industrial Park.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Lao guest visited the northern Quang Ninh province, which has established relations with the Lao provinces of Luang Prabang, Huaphane and Sayaburi. — VNS
