HA NOI (VNS) — Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc hosted a reception in Ha Noi yesterday for his Ugandan counterpart, Henry Kajura Muganwa, who is on a Viet Nam visit at the invitation of the T&T Corporation.
Phuc described the visit as an important step in helping Vietnamese enterprises study the Ugandan market and seek Ugandan partners for their business and investment activities.
He suggested leaders of the two countries should increase visits to exchange development experience and sign agreements to lay the legal foundation for economic co-operation.
Henry Kajura said he was impressed by the development of Viet Nam, adding that the two countries had a lot of similarities and had opportunities to expand bilateral ties, particularly in trade.
He said he hoped the Vietnamese Government and businesses would step up business and investment cooperation with Uganda in the fields it has advantages such as fisheries, agriculture, and oil and gas. — VNS
