HA NOI (VNS)— Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung urged the police to fix their weaknesses quickly in order to maintain national security, social safety and order at a get-together held by the Ministry of Public Security in Ha Noi last Saturday.

At the event, Minister of Public Security General Tran Dai Quang said the country faced many new challenges, such as complicated developments in the East Sea and an increase in negative phenomena stemming from the market economy and international integration.

The public security force, therefore,

would continue renovating itself to ensure security and order and prevent attempts to cause political instability.

On the occasion, the Minister presented the title "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" to several units and individuals in recognition of their service to the sector. — VNS
