HA NOI (VNS) — Special Advisor to the Japan–Viet Nam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance Takebe Tsutomu has expressed interest in providing high-quality human resources training through the establishment of a Japan–Viet Nam University.

Meeting president of the Viet Nam–Japan Friendship Parliamentary Alliance To Huy Rua in Ha Noi yesterday, Tsutomu vowed to do his best to develop bilateral ties in his new position.

Rua, who is also a Politburo member and secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) Central Committee, said Viet Nam wished for stronger co-operation with Japan, especially in perfecting market economy regulations, plus human resources and infrastructure development.

He thanked Tsutomu, who used to be General Secretary of Japan's Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), for his active contributions to the friendship between the two ruling parties, legislatures and peoples. — VNS
