HA NOI — Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has issued a guiding decree on aeroplane seizure procedures, following an ordinance issued by the National Assembly Standing Committee 12 months ago.
If a company violates aviation regulations, the offending aircraft will be seized and the firm must arrange accommodations for the passengers and their luggage in accordance with the law.
The aeroplane will be released only after its manager has paid all the expenses arising from the period when the craft was grounded.
The company must contact the Viet Nam Civil Aviation Administration within 60 days since the announcement about the captured aeroplane was made in the media, and a tribunal will resolve the case.
The decree will go into effect on February 24. — VNS
