ĐÀ NẴNG — Bà Nà Hills Golf Club has been ranked second out of the top 10 leading golf courses in Việt Nam by the 2018 Việt Nam Tourism Awards.

“We are deeply honoured to receive this award and very happy to contribute a small part to the development of Việt Nam tourism,” Tim Haddon, general director of the club, said.

The Việt Nam Tourism Awards are an annual event launched in 1999 to honour leading businesses that are improving tourism service quality, diversifying tourism products and contributing significantly to the development of the country.

This is the first time Bà Nà Hills Golf Club has been honoured by the prestigious event.

In 2017, Bà Nà Hills Golf Club was tabbed ‘World’s Best New Course’ at the World Golf Awards in Portugal and ‘Best New Course in Asia Pacific’ at the Asia Pacific Golf Summit in Thailand. It also won ‘Best New Course 2016-2017’ at the annual Việt Nam Golf Magazine Awards.

Opened in March 2016 on the outskirts of Đà Nẵng, the course blends rolling terrain with mountains, lakes, streams and vegetation.

In late July, it will host the annual Footgolf Tournament 2018, an event combining golf and football.

The other courses named in the top 10 were The Bluffs Hồ Tràm Strip Vũng Tàu in the southern province of Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu, Sky Lake Resort & Golf Club in Hà Nội, BRG Đà Nẵng Golf Resort, FLC Sầm Sơn Golf Links in the central province of Thanh Hóa, Montgomerie Links Đà Nẵng, Laguna Langco Golf Club in the central province Thừa Thiên-Huế, Long Thành Golf Club in the southern province of Đồng Nai, Sealinks Golf & Country Club in the southern province of Bình Thuận and  Long Bien Golf Course in Hà Nội. — VNS
