Workers hospitalised after food poisoning

Update: April, 29/2010 - 09:11

BEN TRE — Nearly 30 workers at Thailand's Alliance One Textile and Garment Limited Company in southern Ben Tre Province's Chau Thanh District were re-hospitalised yesterday for more treatments in a suspected food-poisoning case.

On Tuesday, out of the company's 137 workers, these 30 were taken to the local hospital after eating food at the company cafeteria. They were then allowed to go home after receiving emergency aid.

Patients were diagnosed with headaches and diarrhoea.

The province's food safety and hygiene unit is now testing the company's food to find out the reason the workers got sick.
