crooner leads music fest line-up
HA NOI — The first
Hennessy Artistry in Ha Noi will gather international artists to perform at a
concert on October 1.
Alongside the Hennessy
Concert Series, which features classic music, held annually in Viet Nam since
1996, Hennessy Artistry is a show of contemporary music with the participation
of famous young artists, including UK pop and R&B singer Shayne Ward,
alternative rock band Until June and Latin hiphop band, The D.E.Y, from the US.
Ward, already popular in
the UK, Ireland and across Asia, promises to bring romantic and sweet R&B
and pop ballads. His first album topped the charts in the US, Ireland, South
Africa, Japan, Malaysia, South of Korea and Taiwan.
Three boys hailing from
Hollywood, California form the rock band Until June, which will be performing
along with The D.E.Y, who will add a little Latin flavour to the festivities.
The Hennessy Artistry
concert will bring together different music genres by artists all over the
world, said Ruby Tang, the organiser from the Moet Hennessy Asia Pacific.
"It’s hoped that the night will bring young audiences in Ha Noi a new
tone of taste of art," she said.
Co-organised by the Viet
Nam Performing Arts Centre of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and
Moet Hennessy Asia Pacific, Hennessy Artistry will take place at the National
Conference Centre, by invitation only. — VNS
