HÀ NỘI — President Hồ Chí Minh’s Đường Kách Mệnh (The Revolutionary Path) has been translated into Italian and published under the title La Via Della Rivoluzione in Italy.

The translation and publication have been conducted by Anteo Edizioni Publishing House in association with Vietnamese Honour Consul in Turin City, Sandra Scagliotti, and the Việt Nam-Italy Friendship Association.

In the preface, Scagliotti, who is in charge of editing the Italian version, evaluated the work as a foundation in spreading Marxism-Leninism in Việt Nam in the late 1920s, which was of crucial importance in terms of both revolutionary theory and practice.

She said that the issue of Đường Kách mệnh in Italian would help Italians to understand more about Việt Nam and its history. It would also help to narrow the gap between Italy and other European countries in terms of study on the country.

According to Stefano Bonilauri, the general director of Anteo Edizioni Publishing House, President Hồ Chí Minh’s book was a precious work viewed from both historical and cultural angles, and will certainly attraction the mass attention from Italians.

He told Vietnam News Agency that Anteo Edizioni would introduce more publications about Việt Nam to promote the image of Việt Nam as a beautiful country to Italians.

Đường Kách Mệnh included lectures by Nguyễn Ái Quốc at training courses for staff of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Youth League, held in Guangzhou, China, between 1925 and 1927. The first printed versions were brought secretly to French controlled Việt Nam before 1930.

Through the book, Nguyễn Ái Quốc, the first Vietnamese communist, presented the essence of Marxist-Leninist revolutionary doctrine and the Vietnamese revolution’s basic development direction in the most intelligible way.

Following the Revolutionarfy Path, the first students came back to Việt  Nam to prepare for the foundation of the Việt Nam Communist Party in 1930. They also led the successful August General Uprising in 1945 to found the Democratic Republic of Việt Nam and open a new era in  the nation’s history.

The book was recognised as a National Treasure in 2012.

Anteo Edizioni Publishing House focuses on publishing works on history, geopolitics, geoeconomics and social geography, as well as general political sciences, which aim to encourage and promote most advanced subjects worldwide. — VNS
