ĐÀ NẴNG — Artists from the central city of Đà Nẵng will display 60 of their paintings, sculptures, and lacquer, oil and canvas, and water colour paintings in an exhibition at the city’s Fine Arts Museum from December 6-12.

A museum representative said the exhibition will present annual prizes for local artists on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Việt Nam Fine Arts Day on December 10, 2017.

Two seminars on the development of fine art in the central and Central Highlands region, and Việt Nam’s fine art in contemporary development will also be held on December 6 at the museum at 78 Lê Duẩn Street, Đà Nẵng City.

The museum displays 413 works by artists from the city and provinces in the region.

It became as one of popular cultural destinations for tourists after the Chăm Sculpture Museum and the Đà Nẵng Museum.

The central city is well known as a centre for stone arts in the central region, and the craft became more popular during the tourism boom in the early 1990s. — VNS
