HA NOI (VNS)— The Kong: Skull Island film cast landed at Noi Bai airport on Thursday afternoon in preparation for shooting in Viet Nam.

More than 120 crew and cast members, including director Jordan Vogt-Roberts, Hollywood star Samuel L. Jackson and actress Brie Larson will fly to the central province of Quang Binh, as well as Ninh Binh Province and Ha Long City in northern Viet Nam next week to start filming.

The crew is to attend a press conference at the Hotel Metropole Ha Noi tomorrow, according to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The blockbuster is about the origin of a giant gorilla King Kong, who climbed up the Empire State building in the original film produced in 1933 and the remake in 2005.

Filming started in early 2016 at the Village Roadshow Studios in Hawaii and in Queensland, Australia.

The movie is produced by Legendary Pictures and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, scheduled for release in March of 2017. — VNS
