DA NANG (VNS) — The central city had 210,000 tourists on two days – the country's reunification day on April 30 and May Day, the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said.

This number included 39,000 foreign visitors, marking a 50.34 per cent rise in comparison to the same time last year.

During the five-day vacation, the Dorothea cruise from Marshall Islands docked at the city's Han River Port for its team of luxury trippers in the central region.

On Wednesday, the city also opened a 3,000 square metre public beach in Thanh Khe district – the eighth public beach – to serve for the summer vacation.

The city has introduced 10 solar-powered cars for use by commuters at the city's destinations. Two years ago, the city also launched battery-powered cars for the public.
