HA NOI (VNS)— A book highlighting 103 events during the life and career of the late General Vo Nguyen Giap has been released, marking the 100th day since his death on October 4.

Printed by Tre (Youth) Publishing House, the book, Vo Nguyen Giap Nhung Nam Thang Cuoc Doi (Vo Nguyen Giap – Years of Life), highlights the number 103 – which was the age of the country's General.

Spanning more than a century, his life mirrored many of the nation's most important events. For this reason, the publishing house selected important moments and occurrences, as well as turning-point decisions that not only elevated him to become the nation's hero, but also contributed to the nation's glorious victories.

On display are black and white and colour photos, selected from thousands of works, depicting historical moments and the daily life of the General. Many of them were taken by noted photographers, such as Vo An Ninh, Tran Khuong, Nguyen Ba Khoan, and Dinh Quang Thanh, as well as from the archive of the Vietnam News Agency, Ho Chi Minh Museum, and Viet Nam Military History Museum, among others.

Also, the exhibits include works of art of other genres, such as a bronze bust of General Giap, a glazed vase imprinted with his images and autographs by craftsman Tran Tuy.
