HCM CITY (VNS)— Three Vietnamese people were named in the list of top 30 Asian Record Holders in 2013 on Saturday, said the Viet Nam Guinness Book of Records.
They are filmmaker Nguyen Van Luong and painters Truong Han Minh and Dang Ai Viet.
Luong set a record of making the most films about the country and people in the sea and island regions. Since 1998, he has made 221 movies on the theme, including feature films, documentaries and video reports. His record was recognised in Viet Nam last year.
Painter Minh was recognised for auctioning the most ink wash paintings for charity. From 1977 to 2013, an estimated 200 paintings were sold by auction and all the proceeds went to charity.
