KON TUM (VNS)— The Central Highland province of Kon Tum has seen success in reviving as many as 19 traditional festivals of local ethnic minority communities, as part of efforts to preserve the area's heritage.

The festivals will be held annually from now on and include the Cha Kcha (swallowing burning charcoal) festival of the Gie Trieng ethnic group, the Xo Dang's M'ne (thanksgiving) festival and Chong O Bon H'Lu (rice harvesting) festival of the B'Rau.

The revival of the festivals has helped preserve the traditional cultural environment and intangible cultural heritage of ethnic communities.-VNS
