HA NOI — Photographer Minh Loc offered his renowned photo collection of red-head cranes to the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) on Wednesday.
The collection contains more than 10,000 photos of the red-headed cranes (also known as sarus crane) living at the Tram Chim National Park in Tam Nong District, southern Dong Thap Province.
Loc spent 12 years tracking down the cranes. No other photographer has taken so many photos of those rare birds.
"When I die, I can't bring the photo collection with me, so I hope my colleagues at the VNA can preserve them," says Loc, a former photographer of VNA. "As a photographer, I wanted to preserve their images so the younger generations could know that a herd of precious sarus cranes once lived in Viet Nam."
VNA's general director Nguyen Duc Loi affirmed that VNA would carefully preserve these priceless images.-VNS
