International industry expo opens in City
HCM CITY — An international exposition aiming to develop
economic integration strategies for several key Vietnamese industries opened in
HCM City yesterday.
Around 250 companies from over 20 countries and territories are
set to attend the event’s two exhibitions focusing on the processing and
packaging industries and the plastic and rubber industries respectively.
Over 140 companies, including big names like Fuji, Ishida,
Global Engineering Alliance (GEA) and Hitachi, will promote their products and
services at the Propak Vietnam and Plastic and Rubber Exhibition.
The gathering will focus on hi-tech processing and packaging
solutions for the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and chemical
industries. More than 100 exhibitors, including Arburg, Krauss Maffei, Engel and
Nissei ASB, will participate in the Viet Nam Plastic and Rubber Exhibition.
On Propak’s first day, Deputy Minister of Fisheries Luong Le
Phuong presided hosted a seminar on processing and storing aqua-products and
development strategies for agriculture and forestry in line with Viet Nam’s
World Trade Organisation membership.
Today, a Propak meeting on food development will discuss
Southeast Asian food regulations in relation to Viet Nam and the region’s
continued integration into the global economy.
Tomorow, exhibition organisers VCCI Exhibition Service and
Bangkok Exhibition Services Co. will hold a seminar on processing and packaging
industry development in the UK to update Vietnamese businesses with latest
technological information. The event will run until Saturday at the HCM City
International Exhibition and Convention Centre, 446 Hoang Van Thu Street Tan
