DAK NONG (VNS) — Forest rangers in Dak Nong Province have confirmed that at least 113 rare trees were recently cut down in the Nam Nung Natural Forest Reserve Area in Dak G'long District.
This came to light after complaints were filed by residents of Quang Son Commune in the district.
Local authorities, in cooperation with forest range officers, discovered some of the logs that had been chopped but not yet removed from the site.
The case has been transferred to the provincial police for further investigation. — VNS
