HA NOI — HCM City Stock Exchange (HOSE) has named the top 10 securities companies that held a combined 51.26 per cent stake in shares and fund certificates for the entire 2009.
Thang Long Securities (coded TSC) topped the list with a 9.13 per cent stake in brokerage market shares on HOSE. In the fourth quarter, the company’s brokerage stake was 11.31 per cent, while it averaged 9.95 per cent for the second half of the year.
The Military Bank backed company has increased its charter capital to VND800 billion (US$42.11 million) from VND500 billion ($26.31 million).
Sai Gon Securities Incorporation (coded SSI) ranked second with an 8.26 per cent brokerage market share in 2009. In the fourth quarter and the second half of the year, SSI in turn held a market share of 6.78 per cent and 8.01 per cent.
Sacombank Securities (coded SBS), the in-house broker for Sacombank, held a 7.77 per cent share of the market.
HCM City Securities Corporation (coded HSC) held a 5.63 per cent stake, while ACB Securities (ACBS) had a 4.37 per cent stake. FPT Securities (FPTS) held a 3.84 per cent stake, King Eng VN Securities (KEVS) a 3.4 per cent stake, Bao Viet Securities (BVSC) a 3.37 per cent stake, Vietcombank Securities (VCBS) a 2.90 per cent stake and VISecurities (VIS) a 2.59 per cent stake.
In terms of bond brokerage on HOSE, ABB Securities, the in-house broker for An Binh Bank, led the list with an 18.21 per cent market share, followed by VCBS with 17.38 per cent and HSC with 11.31 per cent. — VNS
