German company introduces ERP

HCM CITY — German-based Abas Software AG has introduced its Enterprises Resources Planning (ERP) software for trading, production, industry, university, hospital and administrative management.

Abas ERP includes software that can manage raw materials supply, production planning, cost estimation, price calculation, accounting support and property management.

The company has also introduced its software Abas Trade for trade management, and Abas eB for online business. All software can operate in Linux, Unix and Windows operating systems.

Motorola rolls out new RAZR

HCM CITY— Motorola Viet Nam has introduced its latest RAZR2 V8 brand in Viet Nam.

Available early this month, the next-generation device packs cutting-edge features such as CrystalTalk technology, two large display screens, Web browsing, and an ultra-fast menu navigation, all packed into a slimmer, stronger, sleeker design.

RAZR2 V8 comes complete with 512MB internal memory, a USB 2.0 high speed for fast music file transfers, a full HTML broswer, speaker-independent name and digit dialing, and up to approximately 500 minutes talk time and 280 hours standby time. It sells for VND7 million (US$435).

Canon organises photo contest

HCM CITY — A photo contest sponsored by Canon will be held in Viet Nam, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Singapore from August to October.

Winners will receive a total of VND130 million (US$8,100). Two top winners from Viet Nam will compete with other winners in another snapshot photo contest in Japan later this year.

This is the second time the contest has been held in Viet Nam. World famous photographer Tim Page is a member of the board of examiners. There are over 500 people now registered through the website www.photomarathonasia.com/vietnam. — VNS
