Royal Brunei Airlines to start regular flights to HCM City

HA NOI — Royal Brunei Airlines will fly in and out of HCM City starting on May 11, the airline announced.

Three weekly round trips will connect Bandar Seir Begawan to HCM City. Flights will leave HCM City at 7am on Tuesday and at 4.35 pm on Thursday and Sunday arriving in Brunei two hours later. Return flights will leave Brunei at 8.10pm on Monday and 2.40pm on Thursday and Sunday.

"Apart from targeting traffic moving between Sydney [Australia] and Viet Nam, we also see HCM City as an alternative shopping and sightseeing destination for Bruneians," said Rozman Junaidi, acting head of corporate communications for Royal Brunei Airlines.

Initial promotional fares would start from BN$250,000 (US$154) for a round-trip ticket.

Royal Brunei Airlines has operated in Southeast Asia and Europe for 30 years and has a modern fleet of Boeing 767s and Airbus 320s. It operates daily flights to London, Dubai, Frankfurt and cities in Asia. — VNS
