State raises $281.78 million in latest bond auction

The State Treasury raised VNĐ6.34 trillion (US$281.78 million) by auctioning Government bonds (G-bonds) at the Hà Nội Stock Exchange (HNX) on Thursday.

HÀ NỘI — The State Treasury raised VNĐ6.34 trillion (US$281.78 million) by auctioning Government bonds (G-bonds) at the Hà Nội Stock Exchange (HNX) on Thursday.

In the latest auction, the State Treasury targeted VNĐ6 trillion, including VNĐ1.5 trillion in five-year bonds, VNĐ1.5 trillion in 10-year bonds, VNĐ1 trillion in 20-year bonds and another VNĐ2 trillion in 30-year bonds.

The bidding for the five-year bonds fetched VNĐ500 billion at an annual yield rate of 5.12 per cent and the bidding for the 10-year bonds earned VNĐ1.95 trillion at an annual yield rate of 5.99 per cent.

The HNX raised VNĐ1.3 trillion at an annual yield rate of 7.2 per cent from the bidding for 20-year bonds and VNĐ2.59 trillion at an annual yield rate of 7.68 per cent from the bidding for 30-year bonds.

Since the beginning of the year, the State Treasury has raised a total VNĐ74.6 trillion from G-bond auctions. — VNS
