HA NOI (VNS) — National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines (VNA) will enter into a codeshare agreement with Jetstar Pacific (JPA) from May 21.
With this cooperation, passengers will have more flight options. When they buy a VNA ticket, they will have an additional opportunity to take a JPA flight while still enjoying VNA's policies, including post-free. Passengers who are holding Titan card and cards of higher levels can approach private check-in counters at Noi Bai, Tan Son Nhat and Da Nang airports.
In a press release issued on May 19, the VNA said it will codeshare with all domestic airlines of the JPA in the first phase, while a codeshare agreement with the JPA international airlines will be established in the second phase.
Deputy General Director of the VNA Trinh Ngoc Thanh noted that the codeshare agreement has been part of the firm's strategic plan for developing the double brand, VNA-JPA. Under this, the diversification of services and flight schedules will be carried out to meet passengers' travelling demands.
"With the new codeshare cooperation, we offer our customers better opportunities to choose convenient flights with lower spending and still enjoy different preferential services offered by the VNA," Thanh remarked.
General Director of the JPA Le Hong Ha said the codeshare cooperation will bring about more convenient connections with lower spending for the VNA's passengers. Passengers will be able to book the JPA's domestic and international flights on the VNA's sale system and choose cheap tickets everyday while enjoying the VNA's preferential services. — VNS
