BAC NINH (VNS) — The northern province of Bac Ninh granted investment licences for two projects with a total registered capital of US$70 million.
Ngo Sy Bich, head of the provincial industrial parks management board, said one of the projects, Unilever Vietnam International Co.'s, will cost $40 million, and will specialise in producing family care products with a capacity of 250,000 tonnes per year.
Meanwhile, Srithai Viet Nam Co.'s $30-million project will produce beverages and industrial plastic products.
It is expected to start operating in the fourth quarter next year, creating 150 jobs. The two projects lifted the province's total number of projects granted this year to 130. — VNS
