HCM CITY (VNS)— Thirty-three companies are displaying their products at the three-day "Bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas" fair that opened in Tien Giang Province's Cho Gao District yesterday.

Held in the Long Thanh Hung residential area, the fair features a wide range of products including food and beverages, consumer goods, garments, household utensils, and agricultural products.

It will also connect small traders in traditional markets with producers, donate gifts to poor people and needy students, and organise an agricultural forum to educate farmers on the market's needs.

A survey done by the HCM City-based Business Study and Assistance Centre found that the local market is poorly supplied in terms of variety and volume of goods, and that it was flooded with counterfeit products and goods of unclear. — VNS
