Logistics firm targets 13% profit

HCM CITY  (VNS) — Transimex-Saigon Corporation, which specialises in freight forwarding, container and barge transport, warehousing and port services, and others, hopes to increase its pre-tax profit by 13 per cent this year to VND125 billion (US$5.9 million).

At its annual shareholders meeting in HCM City yesterday, the company also agreed to pay a dividend of between 18-21 per cent. It paid 18 per cent last year.

The HOSE-listed firm reported a pre-tax profit of VND110.7 billion ($5.24 million) last year, a 16 per cent increase, on revenues of VND398.3 billion, said its chairman Bui Tuan Ngoc. — VNS
