KON TUM (VNS)— The People's Committee in the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum decided to decommission 21 hydro-power plants yesterday.
Located in the districts of Kon Plong, Dak Glei, Dak Ha, Sa Thay, Ngoc Hoi and Tu Mo Rong, the plants have a total capacity of nearly 70MW.
Most are inefficient, while some occupy too much forestland.
The province was left with 48 small and medium hydro-power plants with total capacity of around 500MW. — VNS
