Japan gives $5.8 million to promote e-customs in Viet Nam

Update: April, 10/2012 - 10:07

HA NOI — The Government of Japan has granted US$5.8 million to help Viet Nam promote E-customs through a three-year project signed yesterday between the General Department of Viet Nam Customs, the Ministry of Finance and the Japan International Co-operation Agency (JICA).

The project follows up the Japanese Grant Aid Project for "E-Customs and National Single Window for Customs Modernisation" which was signed last month.

The project aims to establish an environment for operating and maintaining an automated customs system integrated with Japan's National Single Window system which will be transferred to Viet Nam Customs. — VNS
