Taiwan invests in motorbikes

HA NOI — The Taiwan-invested motorbike maker VMEP has received the investment certificate for its "Spare parts manufacturing and motorbike assembling factory" project in Ha Noi's Phu Nghia Industrial Zone (IZ).

The Viet Nam Manufacturing and Export Processing (VMEP), a subsidiary of Taiwanese engineering giant Chinfon, will invest a total of US$36 million in the project covering an area of 49,238sq.m.

Phu Nghia IZ, invested by Phu My Corporation, has attracted many businesses, 30 per cent of which are foreign-VNS.
