Dong Nai attracts 57 new FDI projects

The southern province of Dong Nai has attracted 57 new Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) projects, with total investment capital of US$1.2 billion in the first seven months.

Of the number, 54 projects are invested in Dong Nai Industrial Zone.

Binh Duong Province has also received about $1.1 billion from FDI projects. The good results come from the development of support industries, according to Binh Duong Department of Planning and Investment.


Duyen Hai power substation to open

The National Power Transmission Corporation and Southern Power Projects Management Board put the 500kV Duyen Hai Power Centre Substation into operation on Thursday in the Cuu Long (Mekong) Delta Province of Soc Trang.

The project includes two transformers of 450MWA, with total investment capital of over VND1.2 trillion (US$55.6 million).

The substation helps to provide power supply to serve economic demand and ensure national security and defence of the southwestern and southern area after 2015.


High-end apartments to be sold

As many as 19 real estate projects with a total of 5,137 apartments have been available for sale since the beginning of this year, a rise of 93 per cent over the same period last year.

Of this number, 1,518 are high-end apartments, an increase of three times over the previous quarter.

About 4,480 high-end apartments were sold in the second quarter, a surge of 80 per cent over the same period last year.
