Kohler opens largest design centre in VN

Kohler, a global leader in kitchen and bath products, has opened its largest design centre in Viet Nam.

Located in District 2, HCM City, the 1.600sq.m centre also displays the company's newest lines in bath products.

Housing more than 3,000 products, Kohler Design Center is bound to inspire architects, interior designers, investors and consumers.

Phu Tho district exports 70% of lacquer resin

Over 70 per cent of the resin output from son (lacquer) trees in Tam Nong District in Phu Tho Province is exported to China, Japan and some European countries, according to the district agriculture department.

The Tam Nong Lacquer Resin brand has a strong identity in the market, with painters and business people alike quick to praise it as the best available in Viet Nam thanks to its grip and durability.

Tam Nong District has 12 communes growing son trees on an area of 400ha and producing 130-150 tonnes per year.

1.9m City workers to get social insurance

HCM City Social Insurance said 57,509 businesses with nearly 1.9 million workers in HCM City have signed up for compulsory social insurance.

Their employees make up nearly 43.5 per cent of the city's total number.

There are still violations about social insurance. Complicated procedures were pointed out the most critical issue.

Besides, most of SMEs have not yet known applying IT to complete procedures.
