More than 75,000 female workers in the remote province of Lai Chau are taking part in public programmes on privacy and social problems, launched recently by the province's Labour Union, in co-operation with its partners.
The programmes provide free advice about labour problems, including basic knowledge and information on living skills, love and marriage, family planning, and sexually transmitted diseases as well as HIV/AIDS and risks associated with drugs and prostitution.
Important issues related to labour unions, labour law as well as working conditions, salary and tax policies are also included.

Can Tho to commence Green Tourist Week
More than 1,000 tourist agencies and enterprises from 50 cities and provinces will take part in the 2015 Green Tourist Week in Can Tho City tomorrow. The six-day event will include tourist and trade fairs, and forums on topics of tourism product development, human resources, investment and government management. Cultural activities, street and theatre performances, and food festivals staged by traditional art troupes and artisans will be included.
The week was organised by the city's People's Committee in co-operation with local organisations.

Career Project for Young People launched
More than 2.5 million young people, particularly those living in remote provinces, will benefit through a five-year project called Career Project for Young People launched this year by the Viet Nam Young People's Association. Under the project, more than 63 career clubs will be established to help young participants receive free vocational training and loans at low interest rates to develop their business.
The association will work with local authorities to issue new policies to attract agencies, banks and enterprises involved in the work.
