The People's Committee of Lam Dong Province has decided to set aside VND4 billion (US$183,700) for districts where coffee cultivation areas have been seriously damaged by hoar frost.
Lac Duong District will receive VND2.5 billion ($114,836), Lam Ha VND833 million ($38,263) and Da Lat city VND60 million ($2,756).

Ben Tre fruit festival tastes sweeter than ever
The 15th fruit festival in Ben Tre Province's Cho Lach District - featuring 45 booths displaying various kinds of fruits, fruit seedlings, flowers, and ornamental plants - opened on June 17 .
The event, which will run until June 21, will also include a fruit contest, folk games, art performances and a ceremony to honour outstanding gardeners as well as conferences to seek linkages in fruits production and consumption.
Situated between two major rivers – Co Chien and Ham Luong – and with a dense system of rivers and canals, Cho Lach is famous for its delicious fruit varieties like durian, Java rambutan and mangosteen.

HCM City to start post office pension scheme
HCM City's District 1 and Binh Chanh District have been chosen to implement a pilot scheme to pay pensions and social insurance via post offices from July this year to June next year.
Tran Ngoc Kim of the HCM City post Office said staff would work until 6pm, longer than office hours, to provide the service.
HCM City is the last locality among the country's 63 provinces and cities to implement the method.
