Viet Nam is now among the top three ASEAN exporters to the US, AmCham Viet Nam said.
Viet Nam accounts for 20 per cent of ASEAN members' exports to the US, and, if the present trend continues, would have a market share of over 30 per cent by 2020, it said.
Despite the domestic and international economic woes, Viet Nam – US trade continues to grow and could reach $34.9 billion this year, after expanding by almost 20 per cent each in the last two years.

Pollution harms City factory workers
Excessive light, noise, heat, and dust at over 1,000 factories in HCM City is believed to affect the health of workers there.
In the first nine months of this year the city Environment and Labour Health Centre inspected the working environment at these places and found all four measuring much above permitted levels.
Of around 6,000 workers from these factories getting annual health checks nearly 33 per cent were found to be in poor health and another 33 per cent in average health, while 8 per cent are in very poor condition.

Binh Duong to build more workers' housing
By 2020 the southern province of Binh Duong will spend around VND1.3 trillion (US$60 million) to build more social housing for workers.
It also plans to provide accommodation for public workers and increase housing for low-income and resettled people.

Floating market aims to attract tourists
The People's Committee of the Mekong Delta province of Hau Giang has approved a project to develop the Nga Bay floating market in Nga Bay town for tourism purposes.
Roads, a tourist port, water and lighting systems will be built, and the floating market will be kept authentic to attract tourists.
The project is expected to cost VND35 billion (US$1.7 million).
