Exports of processed products increase

According to the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the country has exported $79.3 billion of processed products this year, up 14.3 per cent compared with the same period last year.

Garments and textiles, footwear, wooden products, machinery and spare parts had growth between 14.4 per cent and 25 per cent, which was above average. Chemicals, bags, suitcases, hats and umbrellas, and glass and glass products have also had high growth.

MoT greenlights $95m bypass in Phu Ly

The Ministry of Transport has approved a VND2 trillion (US$95 million) project to build a bypass in Phu Ly city and improve the surface of a section of National Road 1, which runs through the city in the northern province of Ha Nam under the form of Build-Operate-Transfer.

The project has a total length of 43.44km with the bypass. It is scheduled to be completed in 2016.
