The Quang Nam Province People's Committee has approved a plan to provide poor households, especially ethnic ones, land for agriculture and accommodation and clean water in 15 communes and hamlets facing "special difficulties".
The project seeks to ensure 70 per cent of poor households have land for production and solve the water shortage in these communes and hamlets by 2015.
It is expected to cost VND623 billion (US$29.3 million).

HCM City firms move taxes online
As many as 134,995 enterprises in HCM City have made their tax declarations online as of August, accounting for 96.7 per cent of all declarations, according to the city's Tax Department.
The department plans to allow declaration of vehicle registration fees via the internet in the near future.
It will co-operate with other agencies and industries to collect tax through banks.

Hai Phong to use bonds to fund infrastructure
The northern coastal city of Hai Phong plans to raise up to VND2 trillion (US$94.18 million) through bond issues for key infrastructure projects.
The amount of bonds to be issued in each phase will be decided by the Ministry of Finance.
They will carry coupon rates of 7 per cent or lower and will be five to 10 years.
