The northern province of Thai Nguyen plans to plant 5,000ha of forest. The province aims to complete the forest planting by the end of May.
To date, the province's 20 nursery gardens have prepared more than 11 million seedlings for the project. Other seedling production facilities in the province have supplied one million manglietia conifera trees and 1.2 million of cinnamon trees to the project.

Construction of metro No.2 to start in May
Construction of metro line No.2, which will go from Ben Thanh Market in District 1 to Tham Luong Bridge in District 12, is expected to start in May, according to HCM City's Urban Railway Management Board.
The relevant authorities in Districts 1, 3, 10, 12, Tan Binh and Tan Phu, will issue compensation for 510 households and enterprises affected by the project. The total capital investment for the Metro line No.2 is VND26 trillion ($1.2 billion).

Tra Vinh Province provides land for the poor
Tra Vinh Province People's Committee issued a regulation to provide land to more than 1,300 poor households living in the province, over the next two years.
The total capital investment is said to be VND33.6 billion (US$1.6 million) and will provide a minimum of 100sq.m to each household.

UAE opportunities for Viet Nam's workers
Last Sunday, the overseas Labour Management Department signed an agreement with the Amala Labour Group, an organisation from the United Arab Emirates (UAE)' Ministry for Internal Affairs, to encourage the recruitment of Vietnamese worker in the UAE. Next month, a UAE partner will come to Viet Nam to discuss the plans in more detail.
