Ha Noi will organise more than 2,200 outlets to sell goods at stabilised prices downtown to prepare for the Tet holiday.
Thirteen local businesses are taking part in the work, sending 150 trucks with goods to serve people in outlying and rural districts.
Markets and flower fairs will be held in 13 suburban districts from January 21-25.

Over 4,000 jobs for students during Tet
The HCM City Student Support Centre is developing a job promotion programme for students during Tet holiday. The programme will run until February 20.
This year, more than 350 businesses will provide 4,000 jobs including waiters, marketers, delivery people, and housekeepers.
The salary is from VND12,000-30,000 per hour or VND1.2 million – 2.8 million (US$60-140) per month.

HCM City to host tourism promotion month
HCM City will launch a sale promotion month in December with stalls being set up at the big markets of Ben Thanh and Binh Tay, hotels, and restaurants.
Nearly 500 businesses will join the programme with more than 1,000 stalls selling garments, souvenirs, specialities and entertainment services at discounted prices.

70,000 Vietnamese work abroad this year
More than 70,000 people were sent to work abroad in the first 10 months of the year. Of that number, 40,000 people are working in Taiwan.
The Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs' Overseas Labour Management Department has also sent workers to jobs in the Middle East and Africa.
