The northern province of Quang Ninh has received more than 6.5 million visitors this year, meeting 87.4 per cent of the year's target.
It also marked a rise of 10 per cent compared to the corresponding period last year.
The province has earned more than VND4.2 trillion ($199.5 million) from tourism in the first 10 months.

Telephone exports to India reach $750m
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, exports of telephones and spare parts to India reached nearly $750 million in the first nine months of the year.
The figure represents a surge of 40.2 per cent year-on-year, making the staple with the largest export value to India.
Viet Nam's total exports to India reached $1.83 billion in the first nine months.

Quang Nam to build war hero health centre
The central province of Quang Nam plans to build a health centre for disabled veterans, Vietnamese heroic mothers and wives of revolutionary martyrs at a cost of VND18.5 billion ($878,750), which will be sourced from the province's budget and the Ministry of National Defence.

Nam Dinh to deploy $36m against climate change
Northern Nam Dinh Province, a coastal locality vulnerable to climate change, plans to invest more than VND764 billion (US$36.3 million) to develop 22 projects to cope with global warming, according to a Government report.
