PM Nguyen Tan Dung has approved the second phase of a healthcare project that will be carried out in five Central Highlands provinces from 2014 to 2019.
The Healthcare Service for the Central Highlands project has a total investment of US$76.6 million, of which $70 million comes from ADB (Asian Development Bank) loans.
The project, managed by the Health Ministry, aims to improve healthcare access for poor people in the Central Highlands region.

Can Tho invests $203m in social welfare
So far this year, the Can Tho Department of Planning and Investment has invested VND4.282 trillion ($203 million) in more than 100 social welfare and agricultural projects in the city.
The projects seek to provide better healthcare, education and clean water supply to local residents as also build and repair local roads.

Nordwind launches Nha Trang-Russia flight
From October 25, Nordwind Airlines, a Russia-based carrier, will launch a direct flight from the Nizhny Novgorod Airport to the Cam Ranh airport in central Khanh Hoa Province.
According to Phan Le Hoan, director of the Cam Ranh International Airport, the flight, conducted every 13 days, will use a Boeing 767-300 aircraft, which can seat 290 passengers.

Average salary growth down to 11.1%
This year's salary growth rate averages out at 11.1 per cent in Viet Nam, according to the Mercer Total Remuneration Survey 2013 released in Ha Noi and HCM City last week.
The rate is lower than last year's figure of 13 per cent. The survey covered 418 multinational companies and local enterprises in various industries.
