Super typhoon Noru, the fourth and strongest of its kind this year hit many localities in central Vietnam last night. Despite hundreds of houses damaged, there have been no deaths reported, reflecting the government’s response strategy which focuses on evacuation to protect residents at all costs.
The average ranking of budget transparency for localities in 2021 are 69.53 points out of 100, a rise of just 0.44 points compared in 2020. The numbers suggest that most localities have not fully disclosed information about their finance to the public.
More than 1,000 households in areas affected by drought and saline intrusion in the southernmost province of Cà Mau will be provided with clean water through a clean water supply system project which was officially inaugurated on Tuesday (September 27).
